There are already a lot of projects to help children and schools, and they are receiving help. That's why I have chosen to focus on things that I believe are quickly overlooked and forgotten by the population but are still important subjects which definitely need funding by the public.
This is one of the projects we are raising money for,On the Kenyan coast, in all of Diani and much of the south coast, there are bridges for monkeys to be able to cross the road. It is made very cheaply, just out of rope and plastic, but it works. There are actually much less monkeys who die from car accidents after the monkeys have established themselves to those bridges. We are raising as much money as possible to help a wildlife project that is about building bridges like this all over the north coast and other parts of the country where the monkeys would need it. Here, each bridge costs very little, so even small donations can make a big difference for the monkeys.
Something else I'm raising money for is a project that's about helping families who live without electricity. Installing 1-2 solar panels on their roof. Most of the year it gives them electricity most the time, without costing them anything. It makes their lives much easier, and costs around 2000kr for the full process, for 1 home. Here is another project I am working on, where I am collecting money for a Zambia trip. This is not a vacation but more to travel around the entire country and visit all the national parks. I thought it would be nice to add a Zambia category to the website, but it requires a 1 month+ trip to the country which also requires some money.. in the same regard, I am also collecting money for a Namibia trip. Also a country I think has a lot to offer.
